US-2 Rest Stop (St. Ignace)

Our visit to this rest stop was a little confusing because we assumed because it was called a rest stop that, there would be a bathroom, but there is no bathroom here. After using a different bathroom, we were able to stop and take in the view that we had taken a glimpse of many times prior to driving down US-2. Lake Michigan and the Straits of Mackinac unfold before your eyes, and there is a little picnic area to enjoy the view. The greenery surrounding the rest stop is a great break from the car and a nice place to have lunch. Whether you are coming or going, this little rest area (without a bathroom) is worth a stop to stretch your legs and take in the view.
