McLain State Park

McLain State Park is a park located where Lake Superior flows into the Keweenaw Waterway. The rocky beach is great for hunting for stones, and it would be easy to spend hours sitting on the break wall admiring the lighthouse that guides ships towards Houghton and Copper Country. The park offers 2 miles of lakeshore, campgrounds, and hiking trails. McLain State Park is a great escape located just 10 miles from Houghton and would be a great jumping-off point for all your Keweenaw adventures.
