Alfred Brush Ford Park

Alfred Brush Ford Park is a huge expanse of green space in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood on Detroit’s eastside. This park is far from modern, but it does offer two playgrounds, restrooms on the eastside of the park, soccer fields, quite a lot of riverfront access, and acres of green space. In the summer months, Alfred Brush Ford Park can get a bit crowded, but it would be damn near impossible to not find your own little plot of green space due to the large size of the park. You can park on the east or west side of the park, but the two lots are not connected, and you have to go back into the neighborhood to get from one to the other. It is not uncommon to find folks fishing all day in the summer, kids playing on the playgrounds until the sun sets, or burger flippers at the pavilions around dinner time at Alfred Brush Ford Park. Although it is a bit off the beaten path, you do not want to miss this park!
